PALM ISLAND occupies a private tropical island of soft white sandy beaches surrounded by turquoise sea about a mile from Union Island in the Grenadines . The hotel was extensively refurbished several years ago to create a private island resort of the highest quality . Palm Island is run along the lines of Galley Bay , its sister property in Antigua , with emphasis on high standards of service and surroundings . Some of the rooms have a patio to the front , which is especially rewarding in the beachfront cottages , where the sand is on your doorstep and the sea just a few yards away . There are also two villas , one with two bedrooms and one with three bedrooms . Other facilities include two restaurants , two bars , a freeform freshwater swimming pool , tennis , massage treatments , a gym , nature trails and a yacht harbour .
