GALLEY BAY IS JUST FOUR MILES from St John ’ s but it occupies a beautiful natural location amid hills and fields . The hotel sits on a stretch of palm-fringed yellow-white sand beach that is three-quarters of a mile long and surrounded by lush tropical gardens . It is reached across a lagoon that is also a bird sanctuary . Galley Bay offers high standards of accommodation , service and facilities .
