LOCATED ON THE SOUTH-WESTERN , sunset edge of Mauritius , LUX * Le Morne sits amid landscaped gardens with the striking Le Morne peak as its backdrop to protect it from tradewinds . This charming five-star resort has a long beach front with rooms set a little way back in the lush gardens ( the Superior Rooms ) or closer to the beach front , ( the Honeymoon , Prestige and Ocean Junior Suites ). Junior Suites and Prestige Junior Suites can interconnect . At the centre of the resort is the reception , dining room , bar and one of the swimming pools , from which the the accommodation fans out either side . The chalet-style rooms are all seafacing and there is an elegant , romantic atmosphere to the resort . At one end of the 600-metre beach is the diving centre and at the other end is the boat house and Mediterranean-style Beach restaurant , which is open for lunch and a la Carte dinner . The main restaurant is called The Kitchen and here breakfast , lunch and a buffet and menu style dinner are served . There are is also Nipa , an authentic Thai a la Carte restaurant .
