Gaining renown over the last few years as a charming , luxurious hideaway on the beautiful island of Praslin , L ’ Archipel nestles into the surrounding lush greenery and boasts fine attention to detail . With its green metal roofs , open-sided rooms and carved wooden balconies , L ’ Archipel was built very much in local Indian Ocean style . The main building and rooms are dotted amongst the tropical palms and flowers of the garden on a hillside overlooking the white sand beach of Anse Gouvernement , which is excellent for swimming and snorkelling . Its location and ample gardens at the end of a private drive ensure seclusion , though all the attractions of the wonderful island of Praslin are only a short distance away by car or bicycle . Within easy reach are the beach of Anse Lazio , the local art galleries and the amazing Vallée de Mai , home to the coco de mer palm . Your accommodation is to be found on the slight hillside overlooking the gardens and the sea ; each room is spacious and has a sea-facing veranda where breakfast can be served . Some stretch over two floors and the style of decoration is traditional with bamboo and wicker furniture and colourful soft furnishings . L ’ Archipel offers a cosy but highquality , traditional Seychellois ambience , amid beautiful natural surroundings . Please note that unfortunately its hillside location means that the hotel is not well suited for disabled guests .
