Palazzo Avino continues to receive very favourable reports from our clients since its opening in 1997 . Situated in the heart of Ravello splendidly overlooking the Amalfi coast , the Palazzo Avino occupies a 12th-century palace now completely refurbished yet with its regional Moorish influences having been retained . The exterior of the hotel is a pinkish terracotta whilst the interior is cool and light with marble and pale�coloured furnishings . The Caffe dell ’ Arte is an elegant lounge�bar serving snacks and afternoon tea , the Restaurant Terrazza Belvedere offers fresh pasta and light bites , whilst one floor below is the gourmet Rossellinis Restaurant that enjoys one Michelin star . The bedrooms face both the sea and the mountains . They all vary slightly in size but are comfortably and elegantly furnished in an understated fashion . In the marble bathrooms , bathrobes and slippers are provided . The views are quite superb from the hotel and many a peaceful hour could be spent on the terrace sipping a refreshing drink or up on the sun deck enjoying the panorama of the Amalfi coast below and the hills around Ravello . An added bonus is the open-air swimming pool , which enjoys a splendid situation on one of the garden terraces with views of the
sea . There is also a spa with a hydropool , steam bath , sauna and treatment rooms . The hotel also has its own beach club , Clubhouse by the Sea , situated a 15-minute drive from Ravello which opens on 1 May . The Palazzo Avino is an ideal place for honeymoons and special occasions , so early booking is advisable , especially for the rooms that have the sea view .
