DAYS ONE AND TWO
Catch a late afternoon flight from Heathrow to Barcelona and check into the Grand Hotel Central , a chic hotel in the heart of the Barri Gòtic . Spend your first day in Spain navigating Barcelona ’ s many diverse quarters , from Las Ramblas to the Eixample , with its famous Sagrada Familia . Amble around the stunning Parc Güell , and take in the lively Barcelona atmosphere .
DAYS THREE AND FOUR
Board the Euromed service from Barcelona Sants Station , and travel along the Costa Dorada to Tarragona . Check into the Mas la Boella , an intimate hotel rich in character . Spend your days exploring the city ’ s finest Roman and Mediaeval monuments , including the Amfiteatre Romà . The Museu Nacional Arqueològic houses the most important collection of Roman and Mediaeval artefacts in Catalonia . A scenic train takes you along the remains of the ancient town wall and its towers .
DAY FIVE
Re-board the Euromed service in the late morning and travel out of Catalonia to Valencia . Spend one night in the deceptively modern Hospes Palau de la Mar , whilst enjoying the bustle of Spain ’ s third largest city . Be sure to seek out the Torres de Serranos , La Lonja , and the Cathedral , to gain a true sense of Valencia ’ s rich and varied heritage . The Art Nouveau Mercado Central is a great place to sample some local produce .
DAY SIX
Fly across to Palma de Mallorca from Valencia , arriving in the late evening , and head to the Convent de la Missio , a former 17th Century convent .
DAYS SEVEN AND EIGHT
Take time to wander around the beautiful cloister of the Gothic Basílica de Sant Francesc , or walk down to the waterfront to see the romantic gold limestone cathedral , adorned with seven rose windows . The low arches and architecture of Palau de L ’ Almudaina on the seafront capture much of the town ’ s Arabian influences . After a morning exploring Palma , perhaps try a traditionally Mallorcan ‘ ensaimada ’ from a local bakery . Pick up your hire car and drive west to Canyamel for two nights at Can Simoneta . Set at the top of a cliff-side stairway , this charming hotel overlooks the enchanting rocky coast . Follow the waterways of the Torrent de Canyamel to the picturesque s ’ Estany de Sa Torre , uncover the fascinating Talayot archaeological sites , or explore the remarkable lakes of the Caves of Drac .

DAYS NINE AND TEN
Your final two nights in Spain are spent at the Belmond la Residencia in the pretty village of Deià . Nestled into the rugged countryside of the Serra de Tramuntana Mountain Range , this stop on your tour is ideal for long , scenic walks . Spend a few hours on your tenth day down at the beautiful Cala de Deià , a secluded cove known only to the locals .
DAY ELEVEN
Return to Palma around lunchtime for an afternoon flight back to Heathrow .
