Small regional airlines are very much an established feature of travelling around the Caribbean islands and enable you to visit some of the much smaller islands with small airports and short runways . The largest airline operating throughout the Caribbean is Liat , offering scheduled services connecting most of the Caribbean islands from Trinidad in the south to Puerto Rico in the north . Then there are well-established smaller ones , offering a more regional service , such as the Grenadine Air Alliance and Win Air .

LIAT ‘ The Caribbean Airline ’ Liat offers scheduled services throughout the Caribbean . From their base in Antigua Liat flies Dash 8 ( about 30 seater ) and Twin Otter ( about 16 seater ) aircraft from island to island , allowing people to travel easily throughout the Caribbean . We have flown with Liat extensively in the Caribbean and really do recommend their service as a way of truly experiencing the Caribbean amongst the Caribbean people . However , due to the vast area and routes Liat covers , delays are sometimes experienced . Please ask our advice at the time of booking your holiday about connections and timings .
