Almost all our holidays by air to France also include the use of a hire-car , simply because you really do need one to access the hotels and to make the most of their location . CAR HIRE UP-GRADES We include a basic group A hire-car with all our fly-drive holidays to France . This is usually a Renault Twingo or similar which is adequate for just two people , a short break or if you don ’ t intend to do much driving . However , you might want to upgrade to something larger and more powerful .

VARIETY OF OPERATORS AND ROUTES We work with the scheduled services of British Airways to give you maximum choice , convenient flight times and quality of service . If you want us to book a charter flight for you , for example to Corsica , or one of the ' No frills ' airlines who might have a departure from a local airport , please contact us for details .

CLUB EUROPE WITH BRITISH AIRWAYS Flying Club Europe with British Airways is an excellent way to travel , with all the additional on-board benefits with world-famous service offers . Please note that our Club supplement allows you the check-in and on-board facilities of Club Europe , but not the flexibility for changes and cancellations usually associated with a full Club fare .

REGIONAL DEPARTURES There are several direct flights from UK regional airports to destinations in France , for example , Southampton to Paris or Birmingham to Paris . A direct flight in airline terms is when you do not have to change aircraft . However , it is possible that the aircraft does touch down at an airport in between . If a direct flight does not exist , we can offer you connecting flights with British Airways . Please see below for further details .

REGIONAL FLIGHT DEPARTURES WITH BRITISH AIRWAYS

Where direct scheduled flights exist from regional airports , we can of course book them for you . Where there is no direct flight , we can arrange for you to fly with British Airways to connect with its own onward flights .

LOWER PRICES FOR FOUR PER HIRE-CAR All our fly-drive holiday prices are based on two people sharing one group A hire-car . So , if four people travel together , you can either have a reduction for sharing the basic group A car or we will automatically upgrade you to a group C car ( Peugeot 308 or similar ). Just let us know what you prefer .

OUR ROUTES AND DIRECTIONS With your holiday documentation we include our own directions from the airport to each hotel as well as our own suggestions for sightseeing and local visits .

FINANCIAL PROTECTION All our holidays including a flight are fully protected financially by our ATOL licence ( no 3076 ).

FRENCH EXPRESSIONS HELPFUL HINTS Personally compiled by us for your hotel and its region , giving you directions from the airports , contact telephone numbers and suggestions of visits and sightseeing possibilities .

What ’ s Not Included

PERSONAL EXPENDITURE Such as drinks , telephone charges at hotels , road tolls and parking at hotels etc . All items of personal expenditure incurred at the hotels should be settled direct with the hotel before your departure .

PERSONAL HOLIDAY INSURANCE This is strongly recommended in case of unforeseen cancellation of your holiday .

LOCAL TOURIST TAXES Many localities in France impose a tourist tax on visitors . This ranges from Euros 1 to Euros 5 per person per night , depending on the hotel and the location . This tax has to be paid locally usually and will be added to your bill when you check-out .
