OVER THE ALPS TO VENICE HOLIDAY From London St Pancras or Ebbsfleet , you travel by Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord where you transfer to Gare de Lyon station . We can time your journey to give you time for lunch in the famous Train Bleu restaurant in Gare de Lyon station . The journey continues by high speed TGV Lyria train to Zurich . The journey from London to Zurich takes about eight hours . Following a night in Zurich travel by Swiss Eurocity train from Zurich to Milan . This journey goes through the Alps and the Gotthard Pass giving great views along the way . At Milan a change of train takes you onwards to Venice where you stay three nights . Following your time in Venice , you can either return to the UK by air , or by train .

LAKE COMO ON THE BERNINA EXPRESS HOLIDAY Travel out to Zurich in the same way as on the itinerary above . After a night in Zurich , travel by train to Chur along the edge of Lake Zurich . In Chur you take the Bernina Express for the four hour journey to Tirano in Italy . This is a truly spectacular journey over many viaducts and through tunnels . There are views of glaciers , mountain lakes , small villages and pine forests . On arrival in Tirano , a local train takes you on to Lake Como and a short car transfer takes you to Bellagio and the Villa Serbelloni where you spend four nights . The return journey is made by high speed TGV from Milan to Paris on back to the UK .
