Hotel Byron Forte dei Marmi

Hotel Byron ’ s gracious low buildings are slightly set back from Forte dei Marmi ’ s coastal road and promenade and lie just ten minutes ’ walk from the centre of the resort . The hotel was a private family residence in the 19th Century and has been converted carefully to provide the comforts and ambience of a five star hotel whilst retaining an unmistakeable air of its predeccessing purpose as a patrician villa . Public rooms are simply yet elegantly furnished and include inviting sitting areas , a reading room and a pretty terrace where breakfast can be taken . The twenty-nine bedrooms are situated in the main villa and each room is different in terms of style , size and aspect . The Michelin-starred restaurant , La Magnolia is housed on two floors in a separate building by the swimming pool . Dining is also possible outside on the poolside terrace in summer months . Hotel guests use the nearby beach in Forte dei Marmi but payment for the use of the beach is direct and not to the hotel . Charges start at about Euros 50 a day for the use of the beach .
