THERE IS A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF NEWS for you in this first edition of 2023 , and especially important is that we introduce you to our core office team . There have been some changes over the last couple of years and we are pleased to have on board some new and some not so new faces . Opposite you ’ ll find a photo album of the core team .

2023 is a time for re-launching the range of holidays we can offer you and to remind you of what we have offered since 1989 but refreshed , re-invigorated and reassembled . There are established favourites and new additions to both destinations and types of holiday . Norway as a destination has started to take off for us and it lends itself to touring by train , car and boat , stay-put in scenic locations where you can explore on foot and by water and , of course , Arctic experiences throughout the year . Walking is an unbeatable way of getting to know a country and its landscape in particular . We are very pleased to be able to offer you a choice of self-guided walking holidays in a variety of European countries ; you can be based in one place and take optional walks each day or we can arrange for you to walk from place to place and have your luggage transferred in between overnight stops .

A brand new holiday where you join a small group is our Wine and Verona Opera holiday . Based in Verona for three nights , you are accompanied by a food and wine expert who will take you to local vineyards in the Soave , Valpolicella , Lake Garda and the Colli Euganei regions from your base in Verona , and in the evenings you have the opportunity to visit the Arena to see a different opera each night . Places are limited to a maximum of 14 . We also welcome a number of new hotels and resorts to our portfolio . Full details are on our website , but we are showcasing here two new Baglioni hotels : one in Puglia and one in Sardinia . These are not the classic Baglioni historic , city hotels you may be familiar with but are resorts with excellent facilities , spacious accommodation and a wide choice of leisure activities .

Finally , when planning a holiday for the summer , do think about one of the wonderful suites or villas with pools that are offered by many of our Mediterranean and Portuguese hotels . From Rhodes to the Douro Valley , we can offer you a choice of spacious accommodation , ideal for long summer stays , suitable for couples and families . This room type is usually very limited in numbers at each hotel , so early booking is highly advisable .

A client who travelled with us on holiday in July 2022 wrote to us upon their return : “ What particularly impresses us each time we use your services is that ‘ what we expect , we get ’ e . g . car hire , rooms selected , all with no hassle .
